empty 20 gallon

My 20 gallon tank is empty. I went on vacation about 2 weeks ago and i came home and found out that my green sunfish died while i was away :cry:. so now my tank is looking kind of sad right now lol. I would like some opinions on what kind of fish I should get for the tank. It was nice to just have the sunfish in the tank by himself.
what kind of fish would do well in a 20 gallon tank and that has some personality?
 
yeah. I'd like to have just one fish in the tank.
 
A Betta, maybe a lobster(you'll have to research size requirements on various species.
 
This is what I have in my 20 long. I keep her with a few guppies, but she'd be fine alone.

Taysius your lobster looks beautiful but i'm not sure if i'd want one lol.
I wouldn't mind getting a puffer but I don't think any of the petstores near me carry red eye puffers. I wouldn't want another sun fish I'd want something different lol. Is there a type of cichlid that would do good in a 20 gallon tank? Right now i'm leaning towards either a type of cichlid or a puffer.
 
How about a Ram? They are colorful and even though I have never owned one they seem to have a lot of personality at the LFS.
