What up!?

It's not as difficult as they make it out to be...The biggest things are...
-Tank size - Need 50G or bigger, but really depends on the species. Osem will have a very comfortable life in this 54 and grow to his max potential.
-Heavy and overly redundant filteration and skimming- I'm running a Marineland 360 Canister on the tank which is rated for a 100G tank. And a large Red Sa Protein skimmer also rated for 100G tank. And One Marineland 1200 Powerhead with a sponge filter for added bio.
-Sufficient Hiding places- as you see in the pics theres about 50lbs of live rock in there, plus the ornamental skulls and I've added about 4-5 pieces of PVC so he can hide. The more hiding places they have the more secure they feel and the more they will venture around the tank.
-Super Secure Hoods- I custom cut a acrylic top for this tank, drilled the in's and out's for all the equipment and wires. Meshed off the in's and outs of the plumbing internally as well. Then some good ole duct tape to secure the fixed top, and made a custon fit canopy for that part of the hood, to weigh it down. And I weigh down the front hinged door of the hood so he can't push out.
-Lots of activities and Varied Diet- Live food is best for them, Osem eats clams and crayfish(so he can hunt) Plus I drop fresh scallops or shrimp in a baby food jar into the tank...gives him something to do. He has a few legos he likes to play with as well.

The top picture looks like there are some damsels in there. How do you keep him from eating them? Mine ate everything including a pink-tip anemone.

Great tank!
