I have a ten gallon tank with one molly and three platys.

Recently, the molly developed popeye in both eyes. I did a 30% water change and had the water tested. My nitrates were really high. I did another water change the next day and treated the water with meds to reduce the nitrates. That night I started treating the tank with Maracyn 2. After 5 days her eyes seemed normal except for a small blister underneath her left eye. I had read somewhere that popeye could leave the fish's eyes not completely normal but that they could function normally. So, I put the carbon back in and now it appears the blister is covering most of her eye. Is the popeye back? It doesn't look the same. What should I do?

I would do daily water changes, carefully matching the temperature of the tank water, and use a good conditioner, such as Prime by Seachem. It's really good to help with traces of ammonia and nitrite, and helps with nitrate as well.

Pristine water should help your molly. I would do 50-60% water changes everyday and dose Prime in the full dose for 10 gallons, not just the 5 or 6 gallons you replace.

I think this should help. Keep us posted.
