Folks, my madagascar lace has been going bonkers since the tank seems to have settled in. The biggest leaves are almost to the top of the water (~24") and it is putting up new leaves every few days. What amazes me is that the leaves grow literally an inch a day or more!!!! Is this typical? Is this plant trying to grow and make babies before it dies? Am I the most spectacular ML grower ever?

Please help.

Help? Doesn't sound like you need help. What kind of tank are you keeping it in (substrate, pH, lighting)?
It would be nice to know how yours is doing so well, so other people can mimic your tank conditions.

WOW. I figured it was one of the last gasp before it dies sort of things. I can tell you everything about my tank: 72 G bowfront. 76-78F (high temp light went on tonight, so unplugged it), pH 6.8, DIY CO2 (1bps directly into the intake), KH~8, NO3 5-10ppm, pI, ~2ppm, CO2 solution in the non-smiley range. Substrate is flourite covered by river stones/pebbles. 2x65W 50/50 lights (they are over a year old and I was going to replace them with 6700/10000. I had 4x65W (but turned off one bank to fight the green water). What else do you want to know?

what/how are you dosing and what's the gh?

I will take pics today. I use flourish nitrogen, flourish supplement, API Leafzone, Amazon Extract (on and off) (I think API). Basically, I test the tank once a week or so, and dose to the above levels. I was going to move to dry ferts and a dosing regime, but now everyone here has me spooked. My GH is in the 5-7 range ( I adjust it using plain old aquarium salt). The only other thing I can think off is that I added two pieces of Mopani wood relatively recently.

You are not alone I had similar results with my Madagascar lace in my 120g. It got so big so fast I had to move it to a low tank as much as I love the plant it was way to crazy. It did go dormant for a few weeks after the move leaves fell off but now it's growing again.

for better pics...

use your timer (it eliminates the movement from clicking the button)
stabilize the camera (tripod, table with books on it, resting as much of your hand as possible on a solid surface, etc.)
use your macro setting (often times it's represented as a flower in your camera settings)
kill the flash (especially for straight-on photos, flash is a nightmare to combat against flat/reflective surfaces)
use your lighting as well as you can (a secondary flash can help if placed correctly... for those of us without that luxury we can use flashlights, table lights, desk lights, tank lights, etc., etc. to get good illumination of the object in question.)
