A few of you have read a couple of my posts and know a little about me.
I have a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy called Charcot-Marie Tooth Disease.
I watched an old movie the other night, Rocky Balboa with Silvester Stallone.
There was a conversation with his son. Rocky was talkin about taking hits in life about how things set you back. And instead of blaming keep moving forward.
After serving In the Navy and having many decorations, After Designing Thousand of Homes around the world. I found myself in a place where I could no longer do those things at the age of 35. I'm now 47 Diagnosed with CMT for the last 5 years. 100% wheelchair bound. Limited use of my hands. I cannot write or hold a pencil. The smallest task takes me like forever to complete. Typing this is a chore at best I could use VRS but that is too easy.
Needless to say I have took some hits in my life... yet I keep moving forward.
I don't use my condition as an excuse to set back ...
I will always ... in all ways seek oportunity however and whenever ...
And further I will always seek to make oportunity.
Take the hits ... shake 'em off ... keep movin' forward.
Best wishes,
Wes
