I thought it would be interesting for people to post what plants are most difficult for you personally to grow. I imagine it will be different from one person to the next.
For me its Didiplis Diandra. I seem to be able to grow most of the other "Difficult" plants, but this stuff eludes me. When I try to prune it, It just falls apart, and eventually I have none left.
If other people are having great success with the plants other people are having a hard time with, then they could post and offer suggestions.

I recently tried Tonina sp. Belem with no luck. I tried at 3watts per gallon with a PH of 7.4 and the plant just turned brown and wilted away after a month. I believe my PH was too high as toninas prefer a PH of below 6.

That's a shame. I've read in several places that it's hard to grow, but nowhere does it say exactly WHY it's hard to grow. One person I read said they had good luck with Co2 injection. I've never tried it, so I don't really know.

I really like the look of the tonina and will likely revisit it once I can dedicate a tank to it (aiming for 4 watt per gallon and low PH). I do use CO2 injection and everything else in the tank (baby tears, dwarf chain swords, ludwigia ovalis, ludwigia repens, and water sprites) are growing very well.

Looking at Didiplis Diandra, it would make a good contrast plant for tonina belem. I'll have to give them a try sometime ;)

My absolute toughest is stargrass because my fish like to eat it.

Also limnophila aquatica (absolutely gorgeous plant) and roseafolia. Hoping these won't be so tough once I get pressurized co2 going.

For many years, I tried to grow Cabomba unsuccessfully. Then I joined this forum and found out I didn't have enough light. Went out and bought enough light and havent had any problems with it since. (grows TOO fast)
Phanmc - Yeah, Diandra is a really nice looking contrast to most other plants. I really like it. I just haven't figured out how to prune it. I've been pruning from the bottom. Taking it out and cutting some off the bottom, but everytime I do this a couple strands kind of fall apart, then the next time a couple more go south, and so on untill theres none left.

Cabomba always dies on me. I have one stem left in my 75 (3.2 watts per gallon and DIY CO2) that's got a red tinge to it. Everything else has grown like crazy in the tank.

Anacharis is another plant I can't get to grow. I've tried rooting it in my 75 and floating it. Both methods produced new shoots but they soon die or never grow over 3 inches.

My Java fern in my betta tank took a nose dive this summer when the tank got too warm. It is recovering now. Java fern will not grow well in heat, IMO. My coolwater tank with the same water and change regieme grow it like a weed.
