Are brass fittings toxic to fish?

Your comments are very much appreciated.

Brass is a compound incuding copper, so it is toxic to invertebrates (snails, crabs, shrimp) and can contribute to problems for some fish if it leaches enough copper out. You're better off going with something non-reactive, IMO.

like platinum. platinum fittings are what you want.
