4" horizontal airstone to improve circulation and a UGF powered by a Renu 50 and a hand-me-down pump (about the same size as the Renu)
about 8 lbs of OnyxSand
2x15w bulbs, one factory clear, one color-enhancing
Turtle Tank (Parents)
55 gallon long glass aquarium
2 Turtles:
Dannygirl, wild Red-Eared Slider, ~15 years old (caught as a yearling)
Stinky, wild Stinkpot Musk Turtle, age unknown (caught full-grown, ~9 yrs ago)
feeder fish (buy in batches of 8-12, they don't last long...)
also inhabbited by several colonies of water fleas...yuck
UGF with a very very old Whisper pump
1 Aquaclear 150 filter, mechanical, biological, and carbon
1 Aquaclear 150 filter, mechanical x3
1 Aquaclear 200 filter, mechanical, biological, and carbon

PLANNED TANKS:
Upgraded Turtle Tank (Parents, if there's enough room)
80-120 gallon breeder tank if I can find one (already found a 120)
keep much of the existing equipment, add more gravel, create a few sand beds for burrowing, a high capacity canister filter and maybe a heater, considering some grasses and a few other *tough* plants but will have to test for compatablity with hazardous water conditions and two turtles that love to dig
African Cichlid/Discus Tank (College)
30-40 or 55 gallon glass tank -- ideally, the old turtle tank would become the cichlid tank
Assorted Malawi Cichlids or Blue Discus
1 Zebra Plec (L106)
LOTS of plants (holy smokes!)
OnyxSand or the brown equivalent
UGF and probably a canister filter (Renu, Fluval, or Magnium)
Alternately, this could be an expansion tank for my existing 44g FW - would move some of the larger fish into it and add a few new tankmates. The alternate would also have hoards of plants ("garden tank").
