What all can be kept in the same tank as a paradise fish?

It depends on the Paradise Fish. Some are more ornery than others, as with their relatives, the Bettas and Gouramis.

I have a Paradise Fish in a 20 G with two SAEs, two albino bristlenose plecos, and three otos. I plan to move the otos soon, but they've all been getting along for almost a month. This isn't a very long time to make any solid conclusions, of course...

Just don't put in any fish small enough to fit in your Paradise Fish's mouth, or fish that have fancy finnage.

You can keep almost anything as far as I can tell, except maybe more paradise fish. White clouds might be a good choice. Then you could just remove the heater.

Really depends on the type of paradise you have. Blacks are not tolerant of tankmates that share the water column--I lost 2 swords in 2 days to my first black. He never bothered the bottom dwellers (cories, shiptails, etc).

I wouldn't remove the heater, either. While they can tolerate cooler temps, they are prone to serious bacterial infections in these conditions. They do just fine at tropical temps.

the fish that got me statred in this hobby was an albino paradise an he was the meanest fish i had while i had him he ate 5 other fish and one of them was almost as big as he was. so fo ttank mates i would get fish that could hold there own dont get if its a peacful fish make sure he is big.
i ended up selling my paradise to my LFS and they put him in a tank with other paradises and rosey barbs.
