What is this plant - just bought it?

Looks aquatic to me, but it's probably been grown in an open-topped tank - looks like the leaves at the top are emerse growth. Total guess, it could be Mexican Oakleaf (Shinnersia rivularis). Here's a site that can help you identify the plant, I've linked it to the page on Shinnersia rivularis, but if you click on 'home', you'll see a page with links including one saying 'identify an aquarium plant' that may help

I think your identification was wrong, but that is probably because all you got is 1 picture. I used the website you suggested (great website) and think I figured it out (maybe). I think it is a samolus valerandi (brooke weed, or water rose).
