Clownfish and fake anemones

Hello. I recently bought a ocellaris clownfish and I am not experienced enough to maintain a host anemone for it. I was wondering if the clownfish would use a fake anemone instead.

SOmetimes they do, it's hard to tell.

Clowns will host with many things. The problem is it is hard to froce them to take what you would like as a host. That includes many live anemones. I have seen them host rocks, flower pots, many types of corals, and even power heads. Give the fake one a try, it sounds like a much better option that trying to keep a real anemone. And give it time, the clown may take awhile.
