I love this kind of fish but I always forget it's name... Can you help me? Also what size of tank does this fish need?

Dats a goldfish. Looks like a fairly young Ryukin.

It needs 30gallons and double filtering (a filter rated to 60 or more gallons). For each additional goldfish add 15 more gallons to the tank size and double the filter (ie: 2 goldfish, 45 gallon tank, 90 gallon filter).

Goldfish are very messy and produce a lot of waste. They can also live to 20+ years if they are cared for properly.

And these are Koi:

Make sure you read about the goldfish groups :P

Yes...it is. It is a 'fancy' goldfish...as provided in the link she posted. All goldfish types pretty much require the same care.

Do you think this type of fish is to complicated for someone like me (not a beginner but not a pro)???

I already had a 10gallon tank with 3 goldfish like this:

and now I have a 2.5 gallon tank w/ a male betta...

so what do you think? Should I stick to easier fish to care for or am I ready for a Ryukin???

Thankyou

Sam

What Slappy said :)

But -- pond goldfish (not Koi) like comets and Shubunkin really shouldn't be in a tank at all unless they are being grown out for a pond. They need 50 gallons minimum for one. A lot of stores sell Comets to unsuspecting people and they die rather quickly because of the space they need.

Pond comets can grow over 12" and live up to 20 years on average.

20 years   I didn't know! at the store they told me they could live 3 years max
