I've been reading a lot in the forum and have understood many of the shortened words used here, but there is also many I don't get. I will plant here some of them and hope you poeple will add as many as possible, so we might en up with a Abbreviation Dictionary, specially useful for the newcomers. I just plan on gettien the abbrevation meaning, not to explain what is each thing.
For example:
WATER CHEMISTRY:
NH3 - NH4 = Ammonia
NO2 = Nitrite
NO3 = Nitrate
Ph = acidic or alkaline level
CO2= carbon dioxide
FW= freswater
SW = salwater
CONCENTRATION UNITS:
ppm = parts per million
mg/l = milligrams per liter
FISH:
SAE = Siamese algae eater
INVERTEBRATES:
MTS: Malasyan trumpet snail
