i was at petsmart today w/ a 5.50 off all purchase coupon, they had the smallest tetramin food on sale $0.29 each so i took the whole rack, just picked it up and put it in my basket ;) i also picked up a whole bunch of the more fragile plants since i now have a 20gal breeding tank for my rams that will not see any plecos.

one of the plants i got was syngonium podophylumm v. "white arrowhead/butterfly" ive looked online but all i can come up w/ is that it is an invasive species, terrestrial, and poisonous (makes your mouth hurt if consumed) which may not be as bad as i originally thought, prevents it from being eaten.

does anyone have any information on this plant? can i grow it submerged? im wondering if it is the same vine that my family and I have growing everywhere, in that case ill take it back it was the only $4 one all the others were $1. and just how poisonous is this thing? i wanna bite a little piece off and see what happens.

Yes it can be submerged. It will drop all the emersed leaf and grow new leaf. takes time. Don't waste your time tasting and don't be mixing up poison darts for your enemies (heh-heh). If you are really interested, call you local natural museum and ask a botanist in residence.
