I was just wandering if anybody could give me a very easy to breed cichlid of some sort. If you could also give me a link to breeding info on that fish that would be great.
Thanks,

Multifasciatus shelldwellers. Easiest fish to breed IMO. You don't even need to do anything special with the fry...or worry about the parents eating them.
Lol...you don't need any info on breeding these...for a 20 you can start with 2 males and 4 females...pretty soon you'll have gazillions !
Is this a 20long tank ? The 20long is best for multis...more floor space...
Hi there. These cichlids spawn easily and take quite excellent care of their fry. They don't tent to be terribly aggressive and seem mostly focused on spawning and caring for the eggs and fry when you have a breeding pair.
Are there going to be any other inhabitants? Will the tank be devoted to spawning a particular fish or are you looking to breed in a community set up? It will be easiest if you make the cichlids the priority, and chhose tankmates around them. No other bottom dwellers, and a few (more than that and they work together to pick off fry) tetras are best for dwarf cichlids.
I stand behind the recomendation of kribs and multis. I will also suggest my personal favorites Apistos. Some can be very challanging to breed, but A. cacatuoides is bulletproof for most peoples water chem. Just put a pair together and make sure they have TONS of caves and structure on the bottom.
Check out the cichlid section of www.aquarticles.com for lots of breeding accounts for different species.
