are you ever scared of your fish?
if yes what kind is it?

A while back, my dad had a couple of goldfish that i was scared of-i enevr put my hand in the tank without gloves!

I'm not really scared of my fish, although they have given me a good scare every once in awhile. Spot has a habit of burying himself in the substrate and sometimes when I am do tank maintenance I will scare him by accident which startles me because I’m not expecting it!! I usually end up jumping backwards and smacking my hand and arm on the hood!!! :thud:

However, Hobie237's blue lobster....You won't see me put my hand in that tank...I don't care how much of a pacifist that lobster seems to be, she still has big claws!!!

there are a few fish that i would not put my bare hand in a tank with, but that's just common sense, not because i'm "afraid" of them. i'm actually trying to get my koi calm enough around me to suck on my fingers, but they don't have teeth.

MY STINGRAYS LIKE TO SCARE ME!!!!

Once I was redecorating the tank and put a plastic log exactly where my (poisonous) female stingray was buried under the sand. She dashed against the back of the tank and came back as fast as a bala shark. Oh men! when I have my hand in that tank i'm always a little nervous, and that scared the s**t out of me.

Another day, I lift the cover of the tank to drop some food. It was dark so I just happened to put the hand in the water to release it. The other ray (male, bigger) was swimming upside down at the surface (he is nutss) and I'm sure I grabbed his b**lls or something cause he made A HUGE SPLASH ang got my face wet.

well its not that im scared of my puffers, but i wont stick my bare hand in their tank, they always seem to be hungery and could definately tank a good chunk out of my arm, plus if they get scared they would puff up and release poison which would doom the whole tank.
