ok I'm about 3 weeks into dosing my 20G with CO2 DIY

I noticed this stuff forming on the outside of my filter, any ideas?

I would say snail eggs, but they don't look like any snail eggs I've seen before. What snails do you have in the 20g.

A joke? :troll:

It looks like you have a seam running through the middle of your eggs caused by the plastic mold.

I would be interested in pictures of a few eggs scraped off with a razor blade, as well as the egg clump after the scraping. That is, unless you're in danger of being abducted.

ummm yeah well i was wondering if it could have something to do with the yeast from the co2 or not? they were out of the water and growing out the side of the filter. I have ramshore, mystery and pond snails. but i'm pretty sure i don't have plastic snails.

well... the picture isnt working for me... but if its white stuff on the outside of the filter, then it might be salt and other stuff that has deposited on the filter from evaporating water. this stuff gets all over my filter after i do ich treatment, im shure any other stuff dissolved in the water might cause the same thing to happen...

Oh also it seams to be growing on the tube in the picture also.

I was thinking that the filter has a tumor!

Better do a biopsy to make sure it's not cancer!
