I was wondering if anyone else has a Freshwater Master test kit. I'm wanting to make sure all the levels are good for my fish but I'm missing two of the charts from the kit, dunno what happened to them in the move. I was hoping someone might be able to get me a pic of the charts for KH and CH. Ammonia is 0 ppm and the ph needs to be higher but I dunno where to start till I can check the ch and kh.

I have a master test kit. It doesn't give kh and gh. It gives:

pH
high range pH
ammonia
nitrite (NO2)
nitrate(NO3)

Here you go in case this helps.

Thanks for the pic gunther, just went to Petsmart and had them double check my water. Found out its time to get a few new test kits or kit. I tryed testing the gh last night and gave up after adding about 17 drops and still stayed a light yellow color. How long do the liquid test kits last for if theres no expiration date on them?

what is gH? Its not part of my master test kit results.
GH is general hardness. KH is carbonate hardness. GH includes carbonate hardness, as well as hardness caused by calcium, magnesium and to a lesser extent other minerals. subtract KH from GH to get permanent hardness, which is just due to minerals, i think.

There is no chart for it because the number of drops you add until you see the specified color change is the degrees of hardness. To convert degrees of hardness to ppm, multiply by 17 or 17.9 (i've seen both).
