Ok I have them up and running now in my 24 gallon nano cube. I had to rewire the transformer to have 2 outlets so i could have the led's and the power compacts on different timers. The question I have is should I have the Blue moon LED's on al night and have them go off right when the compacts go on? or should I have them on for part of the night and if so how long?

thanks
mike

I leave my moonlights on 24/7---i can't see them during the day at all. I have blue on my African tank and white on the FOWLR.

I read that you should not leave your led's on during the day. That did not make sense to me seeing that nothing is supposed to be able to see that spectrum of light, so why would it matter?

i would just keep them on for the time that you would be viewing the tank at night (say until about 12) as a blue LED light is going to be a lot brighter than any moon... wether that has any adverse affects on the fish i duno, but if your trying to make it more natural, id think that it would make them a bit more restless... otherwise just leave them on 24-7
