Date: Sunday October 22 2006
Place: Mystic Aquarium and institute for exploratin in Mystic Connecticut
Addmision: $17.50 for adults and $12.50 for kids age 3-12 If we get at least 10 people then we can get a group rate of $13.50 for adults and $9.50 for kids.

If we split the cost of the tour equally between the people who'd like to attend it, just say what you'd spend to attend it. if you'd spend $10 extra, we'd need 8 to attend.

In a nutshell, please post if you can DEFINATELY go, how many people would be coming with you, how many would like to go on the tour and if so how much you'd be willing to spend per person.

If we can get a commitment from 10 people by Friday, we can get the party rate for those folks.

I'll start,

3 people (2 adults, one kid) either date
Just 1 for the tour, I'll say I'll spend $20 for now, as always subject to change.

I will definately make it on the 22nd and I will have two adults and one kid. If there is enough intrest generated for the behind the scenes tour and it is reserved I may go but I dont want to commit due to the fact that my son will be there with us.

Count me in for one definite, possibly two. I'll have to have my girlfriend see if the barn can be covered that day. I'd be willing to spend up to 20 bucks extra for the tour. And if my gf comes, she'll be taking the tour as well.

And either date is fine with me.

well, it looks like someone doesn't like the thought of paying for a hotel or driving that early in the day.

Look like I may be alone, still trying to find out.

My gf said she's definitely in and will be taking the tour as well.

Consider the 3 of us coming.. if they decide to not make the trip, I'll come alone or rent a family for the day :D

Only I'd be taking the tour though..

Alright I went ahead and made the reservation for the behind the scenes tour. I made it for 1pm, I figtured that would give everyone plenty of time to show up at their leisure some time before. Hopefully we'll all meet up beforehand, but just in case, here's the deal. The tour starts at 1pm, beginning at the information booth right next to the ray touch pool. They recommended showing up 15-20 min early at the booth. Once we get there and figure out how many people will be taking it, we'll figure out the price, I just put it on a credit card for now. It doesn't look like we'll have enough people for the group rate, so I figure people can just show up whenever they want and we'll all pick a time and place to meet before going in or something.

Sounds good to me Sploke....see you all there on the 22nd ! :D

Should we put a mention of this trip in the AB forum Sploke ? I don't check that place out as often..not sure if there are any CT area members there that don't stop by here.....
