giving up on java moss carpet, what's next?

It's been a month now and the java moss will not attach to the gravel because my fishies keep disturbing it. I don't want to deal with covering the bottom of my tank with mesh because I have so many other plants in there that I don't want to disturb. I was thinking about going with dwarf hairgrass, mainly because its all have have seen around here.(although I haven't paid much attention yet) So I'm just wondering about the general care of hairgrass, like WPG, any ferts, ect.

Another option for the moss is that you net it down onto a flat stone or rock. It will be secure and not disturbed by the fish that way so that it may attach itself.

Hair grass grows well in my tanks at 2.25 wpg and also at 3.25 wpg. I do use CO2 which is of great assistance in getting all the plants going.

Yea I'm still going to keep it, but I got it off the gravel and tied to some driftwood now. I have 2 WPG and a DIY CO2. The moss is growing but just will not attach to my gravel. I think hairgrass will look better anyway.
