I went in to my room to find one of my dwarf gourami (who i have had for 6 months lying on the bottom of the tank still full of colour but with a very large swollen neck, like he'd swallowed a grape! Any ideas? All other fish are fine... nothing new has happened or been added or anything..... can anyone tell me if they have experienced this before please?

If it dead then you could check inside of its mouth to see if it choked on something. Other than that I'm not sure.

hmmm, that is quite weird.... I agree with H3D, would it freak you out to do an autopsy?

Its about all you could do. There heart is beneath thier dorsal spine so it wouldnt be a swolen heart. Beneath its neck? Perhaps a freak tumor that grew over night if it didnt choke. H3d prolly is right on the nail head. Decided to eat a piece of gravel or soemthing.
