Electric Blue Jack Dempsey's worthless?

I guess it depends on what you call "worthless"
I've only seen ebjd's at our larger lfs one time.
They had 5 of them.
They were all between 2-3 inches.
I thought they were insane for asking $75 each.
When I went back a week later they had sold every one of them.
So they aren't "worthless" as far as the store is concerned.
I love the look of them,but I refuse to pay the asking price to get one.
Especially when you factor in all the health problems I've read about them having.

A long time. I've had him/her for 1 1/2 years now. It spent the first 8 months in a 33 gal and has been in my 65 Gal ever since.

I am starting to wonder if he is a she since it has stayed so small.

Heh,thats a good point.
I have heard that ebjd's grow alot slower than the regulars,thats why I asked.
I suppose telling the sex by how much blue is on the gill plate
would be out of the question?!? :

Based on what other EBJD keepers hve said, mine is very slow.

just found out one of my LFS' the one that is close gets a shipment once a month or so of them and sells them for $16. Now I just need to figure out if I can keep a regular and a blue jack in a 55. Probably not but will see.
