Hi folks,
I already posted these pics on page 13 of an old thread in the Angel Fish & discus section, but I got the feeling they might have been somewhat buried on this forum, cause I only got replies from Bob Bishop & Mark (Wesley Down Under). Hope you admin/mods don't mind me repeating them here, to hopefully reach a larger audience.
Reason being, I'd really like to help out anyone interested in getting into discus, and I want to get the message across that I'd be happy to answer any questions any one has about discus & their upkeep.

First, is a group of Royal Ruby Reds (RRR's) - just teen-agers who are going to color up as the months go by:
Hope you like them.

Second is a group of quite young Red Snake Skins which have some growing up to do before they get their beautiful mature coloration:

I seen them in the other thread. Didn't have a question then, don't have one now. Nice pictures. Unfortunately I am not going to be getting into discus - I am trying to wean out my freshwater fish. Only got a 55 leftover that has the fish from two 29 gallon and the 180 consolidated - the ones that were too big (ID sharks and clown loaches) went to the LFS (they are already sold).

Anybody interested in learning more about discus ?
Any questions which come to mind, or any odd things you might have wanted to know about these beautiful fish ? - whatever - I'm at your service - either here on this thread, or by PM at any time - don't be shy. I've got lots of time on my hands, and I'd just love to be helpful in any way I can.

I can't emphasize enough how much personality these guys have, and how easy they are to keep if you just have the right-size tank, and you know where to get healthy, good quality fish.
Wherever you are in the U.S. or Canada, I can direct you to an excellent source for beautiful healthy discus.
Try me.

My 125 gets set back up over the next two weeks, for discus. Not looking to breed just want a mix of vibrant colors like the RRR. Some blue in there, as solid as possible. Stock from certified breeders...not just what I can find. Will do a build thread once filled and under going cycling and be seeking your advice.

Great to hear that Bob.
Don't know if it's your first foray into discus-keeping, or that you're getting back into it - but whichever it is, I'd be delighted to help you out in any way I can.
Where are you located, Bob, and do you have some good breeders &/or importers near you ?
BTW, Blues are my favorite - which you can tell by my avatar.
