How do you sex a Mesoheros Gephyrus, Hoplarchus psittacus, and Hypselecara temporalis

They are all about 4" I would like to know by looking at them can you tell, if so what should I be looking for?

I'm not familiar with those species but with most SA cichlids that are closer to adult size, males have longer & pointed dorsal & anal fins. Females have shorter & more rounded top & bottom fins.

It might be hard to tell since your fish grow to 10 or 12 inches. Yours are juveniles at 4 inches. You may not be able to sex them yet but males tend to grow larger than females too.

Interesting, pretty fish choices, I hope you have a big tank or 3 for them!
