I haven't been on for a while but this is my latest set up for my turtles I now have 3 red ear sliders in there and one false map turtle I modified the sides myself. And built the stand and stuff myself as well. It is a 120 gallon tank. I am think I need an upgrade or a second tank. The four turtles get along pretty well

Welcome back! I'm going to have to agree with you that you're going to want to upgrade very soon! I see you're in Arizona, any chance you have the space for an outdoor pond? You have great temperatures for one there. What are you using for filtration for that tank?

No filtration I drain the tank at least twice a week. Don't own house and not sure how to do one where the dogs won't touch the pond. I want to have like a 3000 gallon pond when I buy a house.i have access to a 90 gallon as well so I could separate them. I would need an above ground pond. I don't really have much in the funds department as I am just starting a job. Any suggestions would be great.

I would try to change the water more often if you're not going to use a filter - at least every other day. Turtles dirty the water very quickly as you know. Something to agitate the water will cut down on the film floating on the surface.

Well you seem handy, so could you construct an indoor pond? There are many images of them on google. Basically you build a frame from 2x4s and drape pond liner or rubber roofing over it. If you lived closer I'd give you some rubber roofing (I have a huge pile of it that I'm trying to get rid of).

Check on craigslist for livestock water stock tanks too. I use these for some of my turtles and they work great. Heck you can buy a new 100 gallon one from Tractor Supply for about $50 bucks.
