I am afraid the tank you have is not designed for maintaining a saltwater system. The Aquatech filters (a downgraded Whisper filter) are ok for freshwater but do not have the biological filtration necessary for saltwater. The light hood for the aquarium is probably for freshwater also.

There are smaller All in One type marine tanks (like the Biocube) that do have the proper filtration and lighting for saltwater but most small tanks are better off with freshwater setups. I would suggest trying freshwater fish first. It's much more economical and the fish are not as sensitive to water quality issues as marine fish.
