what are the bubbles for, do we need them or not? and what mixutre of salt and water do u use?? and if i need bubbles, could i just use the air tubing w/o the bubble stone (i dont have one)??

You need circulation... The air stone is needed. The shrimp will not do well in stagnant water.
I have not hatched brine shrimp in a long time. There should be directions on the package... Also, you can do a Google.com search and most likely find several articles on this..
