It looks like a trachyphyllia to me.
It is in OK shape and needs to be undisturbed.
Keep it in a low flow/lowlight area.
Continue to feed when tentacles are present.
The addition of vitamin-C will help it heal.

Did you pay cash or by credit card? If by credit card you can dispute the sale.
1. coral was unhealthy
2. high pressure sales tactic was used
3. Coral is not a lobophylia Wellsi

This is a LOBO....

Mine is about 12" in diameter when inflated fully.

I would talk to the store and tell them how you feel and see if they change their tune.

As far as lighting, flourescents are fine for LPS and soft corals. T5's are excellent lamps. Replace with Giesman bulbs.

it just looks bleached and a lil malnurished.

when i got mine FROM an LFS, it was a strait rescue. skeleton was pokin through around the entire perimeter, and it was wayyyy more bleached than yours.

mine really seemed to benefit from regular feedings enriched with SECLONE.

id just soak mysis, delishimp or krill in seclone for like a half an hour, drain the excees water and feed.

after about a year, this is what she looks like now.

after a lil tender care and attention, and thatll be a show piece.

and you only got ripped off if its not worth it to you.

Care is similar. I don't know if I'd identify down to the species level, but I am fairly certain your specimen is Lobophyllia, Beelzebob. Journey, yours is Trachyphyllia, as Firemouth said. The texture can be an indicator, but the growth patterning will be the final "say" in the matter. This is why IDing aquarium colonies is difficult, since most aren't large enough to give a positive ID. I have a hard time with differentiating between many mussid corals--often times, I don't even try, since it can be so ambiguous. The very real possibility of hybridization makes it much worse.

LOL,
good recovery on the Lobo beezle!
I was just trying to let the OP know the differences in corals.
Lobo's go for more money as they are usually larger corals than trachs.
The pet shop should of not told him it was a Lobo.

Anyway, the OP's coral should recover if he gives it TLC. :)
