Depends on which shrimp you use. There are filter feeding shrimp but they get rather large. You would probably get shrimps that scavenge for food. If there is too much flow, the shrimps will not be able to forage properly for food. Fish may also be effected by to much flow, being thrown around and not being able to find an equilibrium in the aquarium. I don't know how much turbulence your filter creates. If your filter is just throwing flow around everywhere, there is no directional flow. In freshwater wether lakes, streams etc have one directional flow compared to the ocean which has turbulent currents. So if the flow in from your filter is so overwhelming it creates turbulence in your aquarium your fish/inverts may not be able to adjust and may be stressful to them causing issues maybe even death.
