Miscellaneous Freshwater Species Profiles

The freshwater group of fish known simply as Miscellaneous is a most unusual bunch to say the least. These are fish that don't fit into typical groups such as Cichlids or Characins. Miscellaneous fish include Puffers, Arowanas, Eels and Knifefish. Most of these fish are large, aggressive, and usually a little odd-looking. Below are care sheets for just about every miscellaneous fish kept in aquariums.
