My tank

Thats a crazy amount of big fish to be in a 15g tank. I have been guilty of over stocking but a big tank with small fish not a small tank with big fish.

Actually mellowvision dug up this old post, I had forgotten about it. This is where everyone moved shortly after that post.

At that time they were all quite small, I knew they would have a larger home before they grew up. But you're right it was quite crowded in there, I would have never tried it without the constant flow of fresh water.

Awesome looking tank!

yea the new tank looks great and a good size for your fish. Those congo tetras got BIG as they do.

Thanks,

Yes they do, I gave them to a friend with a 120 Gal because they developed a taste for my Anubias in this tank and I don't consider this tank to be a salad bar, if they occasionally nibbled that's one thing but these guys were eating most of the leaves.

Awesome tank! It is beautiful. Most of us can only dream of having a tank that looks that nice.

Thanks for the compliments, but I disagree, this tank is not a high tech tank and requires almost no maintenance other than trimming. This is a soil substrate tank, I dig up some topsoil from my yard, amend it with some compost and dolomite, dump it in the tank cover with gravel or sand, then plant. I use plants that like the conditions, if they don't grow simply find something else that will.

I do have pressure C02 on this tank but I keep the levels low compared to high tech tanks.

I have ignored this tank for months on end and only had to trim things up afterwards.

So yes you can have a tank like this...
