Mysterious Streaks in Night Sky 8-15-2007

smears during the processing stages
there was a comet shower in my area (so cal ) but i didnt go look at it
Since it's NASA website, I'm guessing they would know a "smear" or a processing mistake and not post it.
I didn't get to see the meteor shower either, it was too cloudy...

We were able to view the Perseid shower. But we drove out of town to get an even more spectacular view.
It was beautiful. We were able to see several larger meteors that left ion trials that lasted up to 20 seconds! Our boys had a good time, even if they kept looking over their shoulders waiting for cougar or stepped even closer to the car every time the coyote packs would start 'talking.'

I got to see part of it because I was "up north" but the sky was kinda cloudy so I only saw a few shooting stars...then I had to go to bed...
