Mafia 9: The Bloody Coup

Ok, I think I'm caught up after a long day at work, TGIF!

Here are my general thoughts so far, I'll go back through and reply to quoted posts in a bit.

Mad- Pointing the possibility out of Team B knowing who the president is based on a hit from team A helped the town since Ice closed that loophole, but it looks suspiciously like an attempt to coordinate the rebel agencies.

Nope...never said anything about Team B (only team A). I suggest you go back and reread the post to get a better understanding, or is there some reason that you would try to put a rebel spin on a simple rules clarification?

So, we have another 24 hrs, plus a little to night one....very minimal votes...and little to go on besides gut feel.

Maybe it is time for those who haven't, (including me) to post their thoughts to get more activity going...?

This is what the rebels would want....not me.....and Hooked ya must have missed the very bottom of my post...there are also other scenarios, just like the one you posted....that is the one I would want...we get a rebel and they also hit a rebel..that is the outcome I hope for...
And why would they stop a train RB...because here is the scenario...

1. the rebels hit a CC
2. the cc accidentally lynch a CC
3. a CC dies an untimely death..

or
1. the rebels hit a CC
2. the CC lynch a Rebel
3. a CC dies an untimely death...

or
1. the rebels hit a CC
2. the CC lynch the only person who hasnt posted at all, and they are safe from lynching a person who has posted the whole time

or
1. the rebels hit a CC
2. the CC accidentally lynch a CC

so it could be one of four...regardless, in past games we have always lynched one of our Inncocents by shear random vote...there are also other scenarios that can be done....more than likely they would go with scenario number 1...because it has happened to us in the past...we lost too many Innocents, and that is when the bad people became in charge....[/quote]

I am not posting doom and gloom, and I replying to RB's question...
OR...

1. one rebel faction hits another.
2. CC lynch another rebel.

or
1. one rebel faction hits another.
2. CC lynch another rebel.
3. said person doesnt post and they die an untimely death..
this would be 2 scenarios..like I said there are different scenarios that we CC could do...regardless if said person doesnt post we lose one of us anyway...and that is one less for the rebels to worry about...

Why post doom and gloom instead of looking at everyone and the best possible outcomes? Unless the your posted scenarios would be "good" outcomes for you...

Here's the thing...let's say the citizens lynch incorrectly on night one, and score gets to 8 citizens vs. 10 rebels. Is there anything in the rules to prevent the rebels from identifying themselves to each other in the thread? Assuming that they do that (while they have a numbers advantage), they can then just run the table on the citizens.

Just got a quick review...long work day....But, Sploke...could you clarify for me on this....I can read it two ways.

In previous games, a few Mafia could swing a lynch easily and could control the them when they outnumbered the Townies.

I don't think I have ever seen the townies control the lynchings until late in the game.

Just hoping it isn't a slip on your part....

Rb, what I was trying to say was basically what mad reiterated afterward. If the rebels get up by one or two people, if they all come out they can run the voting out in the open, as opposed to quietly trying to influence others from the sidelines. However, Ice has since nixed that possibility so its a non-issue now anyway.

Thought so, sploke, just checking, thanks for the response!

Wow, I guess the invisible thing has caught on huh? Yet no one's posting.

I am not going to worry about the whole invisible thing. I am also not going to worry too much if people are "lurking". I know I have this thread or web site up while at work and I am doing other things. I am sure others do also. I also have a few people from here that I do PM with, so I do not worry about the whole judgemax way of finding people. The power roles need to PM, so her method could have killed a power role, if I remember right, she did have the detective as mafia.

My biggest concern is people not voting. I really think that we, as a country, should make voting mandatory. As a Canadain person once said something like: "If you choose not to choose, you still have made a choice".

This whole "laying low" thing does not help us.

As an American person once said, "Vote early, Vote often".

I wonder what the post count is on each player so far.....hmmm, something to do....brb

rb, no using mod super powers ;)

I vote to lynch JohnLarson.

Because,
1) he is posting differently than previous games.
2) His list that is not a list. It looks helpful, but it really isn't at this point.

As always, subject to change.

I vote for Hooked Newbie...

random picking of people...
twisting post words or just not understanding...

mine is subject to change if anyone else comes to light...
