I am finally putting some plants in my 15 gallon tall tank. I have spent a lot of time on my 36 gallon high light tank, but I don't really know how to treat a low light one. I only have 3 plants right now, hornwort, a marimo ball, and a sword of some kind (the fish store called it a Nana Sword). I have a 15 watt 6700k bulb. Do you ever need to ad any kind of ferts?

I wouldn't add any ferts to a low light tank. Since light will be the limiting factor your plants shouldn't need ferts unless you have almost no bioload. Although I'm not sure how well the marimo ball and sword will do since they may need more light (medium light). I like this site a lot for their plant info and this is a link to their page on marimo balls:

Thanks everyone for your input.

If I moved up to a 24 watt t-5 light strip (1.6 watts per gallon) would this still be a low enough range to not have to worry about co2 or ferts?
