2 year old daughter

I still say go with a couple fancy goldfish (don't get more than 4). See if you guys like them, if you don't you can always take them back and get tropical but I enjoy my goldfish, their completely unrated. My first goldfish was a huge fancy in a 10 gallon, I went from that to a 55 with 4 of them and since then they've been one of my favorite fish. I like them more than these brainless piranhas lmao i swear these are the stupidest fish you can buy haha
 
Goldfish are super smart fish all those carnival giveaways gave them a bad reputation though LoL

I've been showing my daughter vids of fish for the last couple of weeks she loves it (and Elmo). Now I have tank with water , filter , heater , red gravel , light , and only one plant so far. I need to finish decorating and put 2-3 fish in by tomorrow night. AAAAGGGHHH I cant decide
 
maybe I will go for the goldfish but I feel like my wife and daughter will be happy but I won't. For some reason I like a fish that will eat a bug , worm , or guppy once in a while
 
I actually had a brackish tank that I loved
Mono
Scat
White fin shark?
Freshwater shrimp?
They were great but now I want more diverse color & shapes
any ideas
