Careful with WoW.
seriously.
my ex GF (who was not working at the time) went from playing for 1 hour a day to 60+ hours per week.
not sure how the math works, but between Sept. and Dec., she logged in 37 days worth of gaming time..in 3 months..
no joke.
what pisses me off about that game is that the game encourages people to play at times when the rest of the world is socializing with real people in person- eg. dungeon raids planned for fri/sat nights with double exp. points etc. etc.
from what I understand, when you first start off the game, you can do something meaningful with your characters in an hour or so..later on, to do the same thing, takes 6 or 8 hours..hence, the addictive nature..
for anyone that doesn't believe how addicting games like this (there are others) can become, go to
www.gamerwidow.com
and browse around the forums - marriges ended, children neglected. School grades going down the tubes.
its serious stuff even though it is new.
(in the case of my ex, her pets became neglected..

)
its not a joke folks.
please be careful.
and thats my rant (ps my current GF is not a gamer:headbang2
:>)
