Anyways, my analysis above stands, so:

Anyway the only reason I posted this was, well,

1) don't feel "dumb" many of the experienced players have done the same, several times.

2) He added his vote for ice in here, he quoted his before game vote and said it stands, so I am thinking it should count myself. Simply because he said he never knows when his connection will/will not work, and he did add it AFTER the start game post. Had he not added it to a prior post, then I could see it not counting.

And I guess the three of us must be hiding in plain sight?

At this point I think votes are mostly shots in the dark. Seriously, the MOST any one player KNOWS is a couple of the other players on their team...but you don't know who those slim group of players are that actually know their teammates, nor if you did could you determine who they know about soley by their votes...now the way they speak in the thread can say a bit, but not the votes themselves...not this early, at least.

Well, if we knew who they were we would vote them. Also are you saying maybe you do know them, you said "you don't know who" instead of we..that made me kinda wonder.
Over all good thought, just wondering about your wording a little here.

I donno...unless I've misread, it looks like the rules allow all the pirates to talk to the Cooke...maybe this was a mistake or mistype.


This puts the pirates at a great advantage at the start of the game, being able to consolidate and start a train from the beginning...whereas the townies only have mediocore "power-players" by comparision. The Gov can talk to the Mag, the Mag to the Watchman, etc..lots of middle-men. Going to be an interesting time...

There's other questions to be raised, but I'll do it via PM with our mafia-mod...revealing them this early openly would take away the advantage they may give the townies...give me some time and I'll reveal them before the vote...btw, nightfall's scheduled for 8pm Monday CET, right?

They can only talk once they find each other. So at this point only the Gov. and the Magistrate can talk. Also, it really stinks when someone post "I think I know something, but can't tell you posts"

Have you heard the line about how good you can tell a stalker is?

The better the stalker, the closer they can get before you know they're going to...erm...yeah.

I think its funny that Beth and JM are so worried about an analysis that was made even before PMs were sent out.

I am not nervous, and I doubt the Jmax is nervous IMO, but more for me confusing. Yes it was before PM's were sent but after LC learned that Pm's were sent and the game officially started the post still stuck. Just curious as to why.

Why would you speak for JM?? You did answer the avatar question here though, that's good. Not sure I buy it, but at least it was answered.

Ahh, part of the game hun. Look at all the treads with reference to me being evil, why are you so bothered by it Beth. You can show your innocents with help to the town, IF you are innocent. In this game everyone is assumed guilty until proven innocent.

How about kicking some bushes and trying to get some answers from those that you think might be pirates.

As far as the newbs go, it seems to me that LChap is interested in the game, and has shown they are interested in hunting down (or at least looking like they're hunting down) scum.

MG is clearly posting just to post, and Lupin's most recent post consists of simply agreeing with other people's posts... either way, though, probably a good idea to at least give them until Day 2 to get their feet wet, before jumping on them too hard.

Mad usually I agree with letting newbs get their feet wet and have played that way.

But I decided to look back to my 1st ever game played and noticed that I jumped in feet 1st. I know not everyone will be as aggressive as I am but I don't see a reason not to push on them some.

To many players float through these games while riding the backs of others. I think that by pushing them a bit they will become better players and make the games more interesting. That or they will crack under the pressure and slip giving us a good lynch candidate.

to talk to talk is to bring things up that we may find as a good clue for a pirate. There are lots of things we miss and post that someone can make sense of. F
