Mafia #20 - Pirates of the Carribean the Play

Have read through everything and havent seen anything that really screams mafia. Here is what has caught my eye the most.
Nothing screams Mafia...but many that make me suspect some people.
LC, hes playing great for a newb. Seems very knowledgable about how the game works. Not saying one way or the other on him, just that its odd for a first time player. I will say this as well, not taking up for LC, I know hes not been in any other games, have known him for a while and can vouch that hes not been on the forums in a while.
I've played text-based games since I was like 15. Included in that were times when I made everyone believe I was a female in real life (on two seperate occasions) for over a year. Takes a lot of skill to pull it off...on another occassion I started a new player to fool everyone in the game to allow me into a selective, secretive group within the game...almost did it too, but one of the admins ratted me out. I AM a new player to Mafia, espeically Mafia here, but I have the experience to make me an intellegent player.
Beth. Beth has caught my eye mainly for mentioning myself and Niko. I have no clue why that would need to be brought up in this game, Niko is not playing. And, why would she choose to bring a personal issue that is most definately history and does not concern her nor concern the game here?
I think everyone's watching Beth right now. I don't know what the personal thing between you and Niko is...so I ignored it. Best way to make things die, in my experience.
Mg, think we should read carefully what he says, it may not be so much "nothingness".
Doesn't mean I like him acting as he does...Just grates me as wrong.
Since this was a long read this am, I will be going back to read it again to make sure I haven't missed anything later today.

I questioned her on it but seriously,would you think that because she was sitting next to a small creek that would clue us into her being a Pirate?
I just wanted to see how many people jumped onto the avatar train. I think we have a few good possibilities for votes there.

Here's the thing Ice, I don't pay much attention to avatars with regard to someone's guilt or innocence. That Beth changed her's from 'the lady pining for the sea' to 'cat in a pumpkin' is kind of irrelavant to the game, IMO. The fact that when you brought up the halloween avatar, she immediately agreed to change again is an oddity. Apparently Beth seems to think that an avatar may communicate guilt or innocence, and seems to want an avatar that others approve of. As I said in an earlier post, definitely not a lynchable offense, but IMO a good jumping off point for questioning.


See I have a problem with this train of thought.

Why does a train have to consist of votes. Its just as easy and probably more effective to have a thought train on a person. The more people that think it then the more people that will be willing to vote that way, especially with the number of sheep this game has had in the past. If you get enough sheep to end up voting for your person you don't even need to put a vote there. You could wait and say well they have enough votes I'm going to spotlight so and so for the next day.

I'll be around for the next hour or so then off to a friends for football Sunday, be back around 3ish.

I agree that a train can consist of votes, as well as 'fingers of suspicion,' but the problem I have with calling this a train is the timing. It's too early in Day 1. Not that a train can't form early in a day, but by this point in the game only a handful of folks were even posting, so unless you want to go after non-posters, you have to question the posters. Beth's defensive responses to the simple questions definitely warranted some follow-up exploration.

#244 Lady G my hat goes off to you. These people do this kinda thing to you every game, and you just take it in stride. I haven't gotten there yet.
 
#309 Blueiz I had no knowledge of you guys actually having history, I was talking about your game play. how In the two games that I have played with you and Niko, you or he immeadiatly go after eachother with accusations, and all kinds of stuff.
 
Okay, so these newbs are driving me nuts. I know nothing about how LC normally would post in a game, or any other time for that matter. I do have thoughts on her, but I want to go check a previous game to be sure im not imagining past happenings.
I think we all have reason to be suspicious of plantboy, hes full of useless one-liners. Then again, thats just mg for you, he does that in chat and alot of threads.
