Need cleaning ideas for my new used tank!

I cleaned it and found straight white vinegar cut through it the best, used a razor. Just plain house brand vinegar from the grocery store. It's looking pretty good!

Folks:

My "knee jerk" reaction to eliminating pathogens and parasites is to use a mild chlorine solution in hot water (mild = can bearly detect the chlorine odor), employ a 24 hour detention time and then rinse thoroughly.

If mineral deposits are still evident (and they probably will be) the vinegar and razor blade technique suggested in previous posts will save a lot of "elbow grease".

You indicated that the lids were glass but not if the tank was glass.

The sharpest edge which I use on acrylic is the edge of a credit card.

Its an all glass tank, and TR I rinsed it with a doluted chlorine solution after I got the hard water crust off. Then, when I was out buying new gravel, and looking at the cost of a hood/light combo I noticed a good buy on a new 55G with hood and lights and bought that. Now I'm going to sell the 60 and my 29G tank which has a good oak hood and oak stand. How do I figure out what to ask for this stuff?

Find a similar one in the store and start at 1/2 new cost. Also check newspaper and other sources (Craigslist.org) to get a general idea. And then be flexible. Personally I would keep it.....
