Mafia #23 Revenge

Just a note, yes I'm in the thread but have some catching up to do. Let me grab some throat lozenges and read before posting thoughts.

I haven't forgotten this post. Three hours been enough time to catch up Grins? You posted like a fiend on day 1, perhaps you are following the out of sight, out of mind philosophy to make your name drop off the radar.

Hang on I'm pulling the massive contributions from e(l)mo.

As you can clearly see he suspects... Malbri, because she is... "evil in here"
Thanks for that nugget of wisdom.

Wow wasn't sure I was going to make it through that post!!!:lipssealedsmilie:

Bala sees the Day One come to an end...

And the start of the Day Two...

Who can forsee the Trend..

Be four we reach the End...

g'nite, folks!

I've been thinking about this, and I'm not really sure what it means, but here's a thought... I don't think that rb really specified in the rules what it would take for a mafia win. Usually the number of mafia has to equal the number of townies for the mafia win, right? With two team this isn't ALWAYS true, but has been in at least one of RB's two-team mafia games that I've played.

Could it be that when the townies are at 4 people that it's game over? Once we're at 4 we reach the end? Maybe there were no mafia turns last night, and they're stuck at 4 total. They could have tried to recruit hit victims, UDs, or members from each other's team which leaves them with no new members... Don't know, but that's the best I could come up with (not sure how the 50/50 would tie in, though).

Judge, I saw that Z and LG already answered... I actually chuckled when I read this. You could have easily been the one going last night had it not been Malbri.

Additionally, I don't have the post number, but something you last night intrigued me. You implied that you had been acting crazy/nutty (whatever you want to call it) in an attempt to not be recruited by the mafia. I'm assuming that your plan was to bring enough heat onto yourself so that scum wouldn't want to touch you, right?

Whenever people claim to be acting scummy on purpose, it always baffles me. Most claim to be 'setting traps' to catch others, but you claimed to be intentionally trying to bring heat to avoid conscription. Problem I have is that scum doesn't easily wash off, so I don't necessarily buy it when folks claim to have been acting scummy intentionally.

Are you now agreeing that you appeared scummy on Day 1?
not scummy, just erratic, and a little out of character, ..I was having fun, and i intended to bring enough attention to myself, so as to not be chosen by mafia, I was not counting on mals crazy antics, to make me actually look like i was complete mafia, ..all i can say is, I am here to help teh town, and am willing to do so, ..i have read every post in this thread, and have not been skimming, nor not posting. .

This is flawed reasoning. You said it was not EVER close. Tied IS close.
The 7-4 vote came about as more people began voting on Malbri.
And three votes is close when there are four Mafia. It only take a few to create a shift, which I still think is what occured. I don't think they piled on Grins because Grins is Mafia. Maybe Grins is New Mafia and you are Old Mafia?

See the need to find a third party to draw votes?
OK, well, flawed and all, its my reasoning, I can't help, if I don't veiw things the same as you.
If you feel i am mafia, all i can do is tell you to vote me out, so you can then focus on real suspects, ..If thats the way i need to help the town, so be it, I don't know what it is here you expect of me?..I did not ask anyone to move their votes, and I certainly did not tell anyone to not vote grins, If she is mafia, she needs to go. period. old, new, whatever.

RB stated in the signup that a single player could be BOTH old Mafia and new Mafia IF the Don's both picked them and the random chance fell on them...that it was a possibility.

Just wanting to add that clarification.

Maybe it actually happened. Unfortunately, we won't know until the end.
