Ok for the sump now

Yeah, pretty much . . .. Mine has some added strange compartmenta that I never use. I think this way is simple enough and gets the job done.

Welp that is what I want!! One more question here before I start calling around...how tall do I want the glass to be? Oh wait two questions I guess...about the baffles, how do I go about that part??

how tall do I want the glass to be? for your skimmer's height recommended(you can build a stand for skimmer if needed)

how do I go about that part?? use two cd case to apart.

o haha, i thought you got mad and was going to cut it yourself with a blade
if you want simple and easy. robbie has the one, and i also have the same.

HAHAHAHA....sorry had to laugh at this again, I can see it....my next post after..."well I have no fingers but I got a sump!!!" Of coarse I would be typing with my toes or a pencil in my mouth!!! OH , NYC that was good...I'm sure you were like you GOOF go somewhere else!

Ummmm, but the skimmer is taller then the tank???

Mine are 12" high, (as in your dwg). This will give you about 4" free, in case of power failures n stuff, the 4" should give you enough to handle the load from your tank.

And what do you mean , "how do you go about the part with the baffles??"

To make the bubble trap, you do the middle one first - i used a small chunk of 1x2" pine to space the baffle up 1" from the bottom, used masking tape to hold it in place, then siliconed both sides. Then, put the outer two on - you will obviously only be able to silicone these on one side. Then, put in the other baffle and you're good.

Ok, so they would be 12 x 12 and 14 3/4 x 12?

I mean, how do I make them, do I have the guys at the glass store cut them when I get the glass....and what do I tell them to do??

I went in with the measurements written on a piece of paper. I said I need 4 pieces of glass, here are the sizes. He said ok, went over and cut them, wrapped them, wrote a price, I paid and left.
