Is there any product on the market that either makes cycling a tank shorter than the usual 4-6 weeks or one that does it instantly?

why?

bio spira does work if kept cold. i would ask the lfs for a handful of gravel to help seed your tank.

cause better to use money on something more useful, like filter!
i constantly hear people im on a low budget i cant afford to buy a better filter :lipssealedsmilie:

Bio-Spira is the only product out there that I feel has the capabilities, but it isn't 100% reliable. Often, some part of its transport is not under optimum conditions.

Media transfer from reliable sources is the quickest way to get a bacteria colony under way and the tank up.

its more than enough to get it start

I'm a believer, I've used Bio Spira three times now. All three with great success it does work. There are a few requirements to keep the bacteria active, the biggest risk is actually when you take it home from the store. Most fish stores ( and correct me if im wrong ) have representatives from Bio-Spira that specialize in shipping requirements, and ship it directly to them with no wholesaler involved. If you LFS knows what they're doing, I wouldn't suspect any problems.
