ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TYPE OF SAND TO BUY FOR MY TANK WITH CICHLIDS !!

:help:I WAS WONDERING DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR WHAT TYPE OF SAND I SHOULD BUY FOR MY 55 GALLON TANK ..I AM WANT TO GO TO SAND I THINK THE FISH WOULD LIKE IT BETTER..WHO KNOWS!!:perv:
 
play sand

pool filter sand, non-treated

quickcrete sand
 
I say play sand, but I've also heard great things about pool filter sand. Can't go wrong with either. I know the play sand costs around $2 to $3 for a 50 lb bag, but not sure about pool filter sand.
 
I vouch for play sand, because it's cheap and effective and also, because I'm cheap as well!

BY THE WAY, DID YOUR CAPS LOCK KEY BREAK?????? I ALWAYS THINK PEOPLE ARE SCREAMING IN MY EAR WHEN SEEING POSTS IN ALL CAPS.
 
i want to try sand too aunt robin. maybe we should both make that adventure. i am going to try it in the 30 gal first.

hey start scouring for me a 75 gal tank n stand somewhere- i can't live without one any longer.

I keep seeing white sand tho. looks great...however i think wth the kinda fish you have you should try something that looks more 'river-ish lol' like the play sand probly

I agree maybe we can fix our tanks together ..You have to come over and see henry and sueellen ..They are getting so big ..I hope they breed soon so I can give you some of the family back to you that you Lost :( I know you will like them as much as I do ..Plus these are thier brother and sister of the one that had past ..You can still make them carry one with these 2 ..We are working on it ..LOL

i think I might know where you can get a 75 gallon tank i will check into it and look at it first ..Start scouting for me a hexagone stand and hood ..Okay
