At one of my LFS they were shipped some and the fish guy wasnt happy. They are albinos that have been diped into a dye. After a short spell they loose color and turn white again.
Not only will the color soon fade, the dying process is very cruel to the fish. In most cases, the fish are dipped in an acid solution to remove their slime coat so that they dye will take better. From what I know, most dyed fish live extreamly shortened and unhealthry lives.
i have a blueberry oscar. Are you guys sure their dyed? if so ive got some issues with my lfs owner...i've had him for like 7-8 months and he doesnt look any different color wise. errrr very disgruntled......
