Very beautiful looking clown pleco! I have one that is almost that size. If my tank was a little bigger I would love to take this one off your hands but unfortunately it is only a 42g hex.

Well that is to bad Country Boy, I really don't know what his requirements are on tank size. I just know that I do water changes about every other day so that way every thing is fresh.
He is still up for grabs and I guess I need to lower my $$ a little b/c no one is hitting for him.
NEW PRICE $12.50 + shipping charges.
Now lets see if anyone wants him.:lipssealedsmilie::drool:
You just had to go and do this!!! That's a really good deal too as around here that's about what I would pay for one.
just trying to clarify here (i don't need your fish, i already have 4 clown plecos of my own).
what the OP has may be a panaque maccus. however, if it is she has listed the wrong L-number. L-129 is hypancistrus debilittera - same as what Hooked Newbie has in his picture. clown plecos are on the cheap side (about $7-12 in my area) while the L-129's are more rare and therefore more expensive.
unless of course it actually IS a L-129, in which case the OP should double-check the ID of the fish and sell it under the rightful name (and the rightful price). as i compare the two species on planetcatfish, it is actually starting to look more like the L-129. wavy lines and spots on the body rather than even bands of color. the eyes are larger and head is shaped differently than a clown pleco. the body shape is not "thick and chunky". this fish is slim, while mature clown plecos start to look like chicken mcnuggets with fins.
additionally, the 129's are omnivores, while the panaque maccus sticks mainly to driftwood (hiding most of the time) and veggies. this is a good thing to know for the future.
