So would you get another dora or would it be ok to add a different species like the Albino Cory, my lfs says that they are very friendly. I am moving more towards getting another of the same as they really are special.

Yeah, you could stick corys in there as well, but remember what was said earlier about them liking to be in groups. Personally I don't like albino fish; they look unnatural; I'd add other similar sized catfish. I personally rather like Hoplos (Hoplosternum thoracatum) - similar size, spotted, but good scavengers.
I imagine your spotted talking cat will eventually start munching on any small platy, neon, or molly that goes near it. long-whiskered catfish like that generally eat whatever fits in their mouths and gets too close.
I have I think 8 in the bottom of one of my tanks, and I love the little guys! I think the albino are great. I may get some julies and some pandas, but that will be down the road. and no, I have 8 corys in a tank, and the angel fish usually get to the platy fry before the platys..but the corys will only eat the ones who die..you may be losing them in your filter?
