Here's my Red Ludwigia. What should I do with it? I really don't want to just trim it and toss it. In the Picture I just kind of flipped it on its side. Is anyone ludwigia doing this good?

if you dont wanna toss it, try offering it in the classifieds for a couple bucks for shipping or something.. :)

My Ludwigia has the same sort of shoots everywhere ... the stuff grows super fast too. I trim it every week and try to arrange it so that all the shoots arent as noticeable. I have also considered removing it because it looks so dense and I dont think many fish can navigate into it.

(Coy showing off the tank again lol :P)

Yee its not like the plant has algae or anything. Just trim and sell/trade/donate the plants to someone else. The roots can be cut off easily and plant wont suffer.

LOL :grinyes: If my tank looked that lush I would keep reposting it as well. even with the red out it looks just as lush.

You have to keep it trimmed so the light can get through or it will choke out the plant(s) below and around it. It looks great if you keep it in check ...

I used to have a few giant hygros that were most prominent on the right side of my tank, now the ludwigia is over taking the giant ... LOL. Mine isnt as red since I cut the lights down to battle BBA (now I have hair algae instead LOL) my next water change I think I will rearrange things a bit. (again)

Ludwihia is too messy for me, I almost threw it all out yesterday but I managed to keep 4 stems that actually look nice.

If I were to sell/trade/donate it how do I package it?
