ok hornwort is on it's way, what do i do?? ok I was gonna put a bunch in all of my tanks (20h,20l,55g) what do i do to keep it pretty?
I have had this before but it hasn't lasted that long.
KEEP IT SIMPLE this is like a different language to me so step by step.

They all have 15w bulbs (55g has 2 15w)

they like cooler temps (70s) so keep that in mind. I had some before but it all disintegrated when the water got into the 80s.

When you add it into your tank, try to keep it in a breeder net or something like that in case it sheds when it acclimates to your tanks conditions.

My hornwort came in today and it's spending it's time in a breeder net in my tank right now.

I put mine in the toilet, looks great after you push down the chrome handle and watch it spin in circles.

Makes a mess so I tossed it.

You got about 1/2 watt per gallon, not sure if it can look pretty with that low of watts?

Did you research about it BEFORE you bought it?

When I originally received my hornwort I did a partial water change and kept some of the water in a bucket. I then put all of the hornwort in it every half hour or so I would "swish" it around in the bucket so that anything loose would come off. I then took some of it and laid it out put a zip tie around the middle and added a weight to the zip tie. I put that in one end of my tank so that the middle sinks and it looks planted (looks very cool) I also floated some in each of my tanks. I have about 1 wpg in all of my tanks and temps at 77-78 F. I have had very little shedding. I hope this hornwort does as well for you.

LOL that's funny!

If you want your hornwort to stand vertically and not just float at the surface, I'd recommend taking fishing line and tieing it to a rock, piece of driftwood or some other stationary object in your aquarium. I tried putting a metal weight around my hornwort, but the weight was never around the stems tightly, so it'd float out. When I tightened the metal weight, it was too much and broke the stems, allowing the hornwort to again, float away! I like the look of hornwort, but it's so annoying!

I have HW in all my tanks and do nothing extra have low light and it does great! very little shedding. My tanks are all kept between 75-80 degrees and in hard well water. Nothing special . I find it to be an awesome plant for my tanks and fry hide very well in it. I have to cut it back often.
I ship this stuff all over the U.S. and have had no complaints what so ever about arriving in bad shape. Must be the packaging for those who have had problems with shipping it.

i have some floating in my 25 g 1 wpg tank and it is a pain! i tied it together because my gouramis like to hide in it but it always comes loose! as soon as my brazilian pennywort grows enough to where they can all have a spot it is getting thrown out because it drives me insane to have to fix it everyday! good luck
