florida gar.

maybe alligator gar. those get HUGE. like big enough to eat alligators (i.e name)

It is a gar, but neither Florida nor alligator. It is the longnose gar, Lepisosteus osseus. They are the second largest gar and can reach six feet in length.

I have seen good size gar while fishing in hamilton harbour. they are way cool.

never caught one though..

there are gar species native to the great lakes.

dang, that's a cool looking fish! At 6 feet long, it must be an impressive sight!
